Counselling Service

Walk Tall is a BACP Accredited Counselling Service. 1 of only 4 in Kent and the only service with accreditation to work with Children and Young People.

​As a training organisation our counsellors range from highly qualified therapists who have undertaken additional training in specialist areas to placement counsellors in their final years of accredited counsellor training. Placement counsellors are closely monitored, so you can be confident in our high standards.

We provide an integrative approach, meaning that our practitioners have studied a variety of counselling modalities. This enables an individual and tailored approach to the difficulties you are facing. We will only provide you with specialist counsellors who have undertaken additional training should you need couples, children or young person services.

Our counsellors are members of the BACP (British association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) or the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and adhere to BACP or UKCP ethical frameworks.

Your first time at Walk Tall will be a chance to meet with a skilled assessment counsellor. This assessment session will be to determine whether counselling is appropriate for you, your particular needs, and which of our skilled practitioners will be the best match for you. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you may have.

• Assessment session £20.
• Adult sessions start from £25 per session.
• Child and adolescent specialist counselling between £30 and £45 per session. (Typical fees for private practitioners range from £55-£90 per session).
• The agreed fee will depend on financial circumstances and will be determined at the assessment session.
